Spiced Hot Chocolate in a Jar
Its getting cold out there guys! right?
Don't tell me I am the only one craving hot chocolate...every time and anytime.
December is one of my favourite months of the year for multiple reasons. There is a sense of culmination and also a sense of a new beginning. Its a time to reflect, make plans, look back and be thankful for all the blessings and a time to look forward to a brand new beginning.
What better time to express gratitude to all the special people in your life - our partner, family, friends, co-workers and all the many people who make our lives beautiful but just being a part of it!
And what better way to express this gratitude than with something handmade - something that makes them feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy and loved.
This jar of hot chocolate mix is a great gift at any time of the year really, very easy to put together and makes for a really pretty gift.
Ingredients
1 Small Jar
1/2 cup Milk Powder
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
4 tbs Castor Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Instant Coffee Powder
*Chocolate Chips
*Marshmallows
*No specific quantities to these ingredients. I used these to fill up the remaining space in the jar.
How To
Layer all the ingredients in any order you like or mix it all up and fill into a jar. There is no science to it at all.
I started with half the milk powder, followed by cocoa powder, followed by a mix of all other ingredients (except chocolate chips and marshmallows).
Top of with chocolate chips and marshmallows.
Decorate with a ribbon and add instructions on a tag if needed.
Instructions to make: Add 2-3 tbs of the mix to a cup of hot water or milk. Mix well and enjoy!
