Flower Pot Cake - With Sugar Orchid Spray

No recipe this time, this one is for your eyes only!!!

This is how it started - flour layers of orange chocolate chip cake with a chocolate ganache frosting. Yummm!!!

And after days of hard work - this is the end result.

Sugar Orchid - Up-close

The sugar orchids are a labour of love, made over a few days. I am particularly happy with the way they turned out, loved the delicate pink colour.

Fits with the scenery, doesn't this beauty? The cake did fool a lot of people, while it sat inconspicuously on the ledge of the wall...

Fooled you too? did it?

BTW... those stones are salted milk crumbs - absolutely yum!
