Cool Ideas for Earth Day
I don't know why we have to set aside a particular day to celebrate as Earth Day but my guess is that we need a reminder of the damage we have already done and continue to inflict upon this beautiful planet we call home. Hopefully we act more mindfully in the rest of the days of the year as well.
It may be worthwhile to take a minute and think about how you can contribute to environmental protection.

2. Sort the waste into organic, recyclable and non-recyclable material more diligently
In a lot of residential complexes in Bangalore it is already a norm. If you are not a part of this initiative please check out the following website
3. Regrowing from the kitchen scraps
4. Carry your own shopping bag and avoid using the plastic bags as far as possible
5. Avoid littering - I don't litter myself but it needs emphasising
Please don't treat this planet like a giant dustbin. It's a space we are renting with millions of other species and fellow human beings. It's not our property to treat it as we like. Please please please don't litter!
